We are officially 6 months deep into 2017 and this is our list of Korean female rappers to look out for.
With Show Me The Money 6 coming soon, there should be a batch of new female rappers coming to the fore.
A rumored Unpretty Rapstar 4 should also be out when SMTM6 is finished.
The following rappers had a good last 6 months and are releasing product soon. - Ferd Isaacs
Boin
Boin came out last year with two banging hard singles. A strong performer when it comes to ripping the mic Boin does not disappoint. She works hard on her craft and should go far.
Prediction: We see Boin doing more this year, more collaborations, more digital singles and videos.
Yon
Yon only started her rapping career recently, like almost a year ago and already she is making major waves. She is getting much more plays than the more established rappers. She has not yet released a mixtape yet. But everything so far she has released is doing numbers. Her voice is where the real talent lies.
Prediction: More songs with more plays. Some dope collaborations on the way I think. She bout to blow the spot.
Bryn
Bryn has been in it for the longest. She has dropped many memorable verses. She has released tons of songs and also has done lots of collaborations etc. You can basically say she is part of the furniture in Korea Hip Hop.
Prediction: Bryn was seen at the auditions of SMTM6, we see what happens ... We hoping she takes it to the top the next coming months and see more of her on the biggest shows on TV.
Cater Nine
Cater Nine is an MC's, MC. She is respected by her peers. Cater has a dangerous pen and all the tracks she has released has been straight fire. She is about to release her latest mixtape: "Cater's Night".
Prediction: We see Cater Nine doing more shows and releasing much more music for the rest of the year.
Asol
Asol has come a real long way. A very down to earth girl whom I have had conversations with. Putting her on this list is a real no brainer. She deserves to shine. She has a furious rhyme scheme and delivery. This tiny little girl packs a real punch. No holds barred rapping.
Prediction: She entered SMTM6 and got a great reception. Let's hope she takes it far. We do see her doing some real amazing things.
Sleeq
Sleeq is sort of a household name in Korean Hip Hop circles. She has consistently put out great product and always delivers it with some sort of bravado. She really can hold herself with many of the other Korean male rappers out there.
Prediction: We expect dope verses from Sleeq this year and also we hope to see her get more recognition for her craft.
Sienna
This young lady literally came out of nowhere with a video submission on Instagram for SMTM6. Since then she has garnered fans from all over the world and has collaborated with a handful of artists as we speak. We are looking forward to her participation on SMTM6.
Prediction: We think she will appear on more tracks with other rappers and she will get picked up by a label. Her drive and passion is what will take her far.
